This Sacred Path weekend introduces us to the principle of drala and invites us to sharpen our awareness of the subtle, unseen energies of our world.

Drala is a pivotal level on the warrior's path. We experience Drala when we step beyond aggression and fear and touch the elemental and pure qualities of the sacred world around us. Here we are introduced to teachings that invite us to sharpen our awareness of the subtle, unseen energies of our world. Through exploring the depth of perception, one engages the elemental and magical strength inherent in the environment.

In this weekend we are presented with a map of the various layers of energy and manifestation that comprise our vast Shambhala world. We will deepen our connection to this presence by perceiving with the discipline of leading with an open heart, which allows for direct and nonconceptual experience. We are then available to receive, in the words of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the "blessing energy of reality."

"... the fruition of invoking secret drala is that having raised windhorse, you experience a state of mind that is free from subconscious gossip, free from hesitation and disbelief. You experience the very moment of your state of mind. It is fresh and youthful and virginal. That very moment is innocent and genuine. It does not contain doubt or disbelief at all. It is gullible, in the positive sense, and is completely fresh."

-Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, "Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior"
